Dear
Friends, Family, and Fellow Supporters:
We are so excited about serving the Lord and have much to
report as we are headed into an extremely busy spring campaign next month. Our
theme this year is baseball and we are expecting a home run. God has blessed us
with souls saved every week so far this year as usual. We ended our big day in
January with over 200 on the buses and my bus route had 87 riders on two buses
to win the championship in our bus contest. We were able to see 32 saved and 11
baptized at church on the big day. We also had over 50 visitors come into
church that day as well. God blessed us in 2011 with strength and built us up
through His power to keep on fighting the good fight. We are praying that 2012
will be even better with more souls saved and lives changed for His honor and
glory.
We also have had a loss in our family which we didn’t
expect in January. My Father-in-Law James F. Lyle went to heaven on January 7th.
Dad lived 76 years, 8 months, & 13 days when he had a heart attack complicated
with pneumonia like symptoms. Dad was the father of 4 children two boys Bobby
and Jeff, and two girls Darlene and my wife Renee. He also had 7 grandchildren
and two great grandchildren. Dad was the head usher in our church for years and
went out soul winning with his wife every week of the world. They had one first
time visitor and two returning visitors at church the morning after he passed
away. We had to make a trip back to Kentucky where his body was buried and I
was able to preach his funeral service and give the Gospel message to all in
attendance. Please pray for the family especially Mom as she has lost her
husband of 56 years. We will miss Dad greatly but know that we can see him
again in heaven. That reunion day is looking sweeter every day.
We are still in the middle of litigation and need your
continued support and powerful prayers on our behalf. Our bus routes are on the
way back from the major blow we were hit with. We would like to thank all of
God’s servants who have a part in being a huge blessing to our work here during
this trying time on the mission. May God bless you more than you have blessed
us! The other lawyer is dragging it out as long as possible in order to filter
anything possible out of the insurance company. The sad news is that the family
will probably end up with nothing and the lawyer will just about get it all. Special
thanks go out to all of you who have been praying and have helped us as we
rebuild from the set back of this trial.
Our annual Christmas party at the church on Christmas
Sunday was a huge success. We were pleasantly surprised with the great number
of people who were there. We always have been blessed with many fine folks who
donate toys to our big day. The last two years in a row have been low in donations
and we were out for this past party. Thanks to a group in Florida who sent a
truck load of toys and gifts we had one of the most enjoyable gift times we
have had in a long time. The toys arrived the week before the big day and we
were able to give everyone a gift for Christmas. The best news of all was the
22 folks who received the gift of eternal life. Thanks to everyone who helps
out with this blessing and who will also receive that blessing back from the
Lord.
In Christ Unbounded Love,
Don Chitty Jr. and Family
